Children Residential Cape Community Home is a psychiatric community residence for youth licensed by the Department of Children and Families. Cape Community Home serves clients, both male and female, from ages 11 – 17, who have serious mental illnesses and have been determined to need comprehensive residential care to ameliorate symptoms and behaviors associated with their diagnosis. Collaboration within the child’s support system, including family, DCP&P and CMO members, addresses other social and environmental which influence the child’s well-being and ultimate goal of being discharged from residential care into other appropriate settings or with family. Referrals are generated from the CMO and in-patient hospitals. Cape Community Home provides a strength-based, goal oriented approach to helping youth meet their needs.
