End of Summer Blues…Surviving the Transition from Summer to Fall

Happy August! It’s getting to be that time of year that most of us — those who love soaking up the sun — begin to dread. Class lists are sent in the mail, the nervousness of picking out the perfect first day of school outfit sinks in, and it becomes impossible to visit any of your local stores without seeing back to school supplies lining the aisles. It feels like we’re being rushed to end our summer fun and return to our daily routines. But there’s so much summer fun left to be had and you can make the most of it!

1. Create A Summer Bucket List
Ideally, this would be created when summer begins, but better late than never! Make a list of all the activities you want to try, outdoor restaurants you want to taste, and places you want to see before summer escapes.

2. Spend More Time At The Beach
There’s nothing more relaxing than the sound of seagulls and crashing ocean waves. Make it a point to spend time at the shore, whether it’s an afternoon in the sand or a night of boardwalk games and ice cream.

3. Let Summer Carry Into Fall
Just because summer is ending doesn’t mean the fun stops! There’s plenty to look forward to like pumpkin picking, pumpkin painting, pumpkin carving, lots of apple spice treats, and trick-or-treating. Set goals for the new season and what you want to accomplish. Don’t feel ashamed to start a summer 2018 countdown either. We need to cure the end of summer blues somehow.
