“A Mom enrolled in Parents as Teachers (PAT) after an unexpected pregnancy. She was initially unsure if she wanted to “keep” her baby after she was born, and requested resources for adoption. The PAT Parent Educator connected her to a local resource we partner with, Cornerstone Women’s Resource Center. The Center set up an appointment with Mom to discuss her options. After meeting with the Center and having a few visits with her Parent Educator, Mom ultimately decided to keep her baby, as she began to feel she had the support she needed through both Parents as Teachers and the local resource, and also began to feel more excited about the pregnancy. Mom has since had her baby girl and continues to engage in visits and participate in Parents as Teachers!”
