Robins’ Nest, Cape Counseling Services, and NewPoint Behavioral Health Care to Merge this Summer
New Organization Set to Lead the Way in Providing Community-Based Services in South Jersey

Robins’ Nest Inc., Cape Counseling Services, and NewPoint Behavioral Health Care have announced that they will be merging into one organization under a new name effective July 1, 2019.  In addition, FamCare, Inc. will be joining the new entity as an affiliate organization and will share in its infrastructure and services. As a result of the merger, the new organization will operate 56 locations across ten counties in New Jersey, employ nearly 1,000 staff, and serve over 27,000 clients annually through a holistic, integrated care model.

“While Robins’ Nest has always focused on providing innovative services to those in our care, coming together with Cape Counseling, NewPoint, and FamCare uniquely positions our new team to lead the way in integrated care in the state of New Jersey,” said Dr. Anthony DiFabio, Robins’ Nest President & CEO, who will remain in the same role with the new entity. In 2018, Robins’ Nest celebrated its 50th anniversary and served nearly 15,000 children, families, and individuals.

Within the new entity, Greg Speed, CEO of Cape Counseling Services, and John Zukauskas, CEO of NewPoint Behavioral Health Care, will transition to new roles as Chief Integration Officer and Executive Consultant, respectively. Kathie Nixon will remain Executive Director & CEO of FamCare.

“Cape Counseling has a long-standing reputation of providing premier mental health care to the communities throughout Cape May County, and I am proud to be joining with these three teams who share our same standard of excellence and compassion for those we serve,” said Greg Speed. “I could not be more excited for the opportunities that this merger presents to our new collective team.” In 2018, Cape Counseling served over 7,000 residents and received the MHCA (Mental Health Corporation of America) Best Practice Award for Case Management Services.

“Throughout my tenure with NewPoint, I have come to deeply admire and respect the work done by Robins’ Nest, Cape Counseling, and FamCare,” said John Zukauskas. “Their staff are dedicated to improving the lives of those in our communities, and I am grateful for the opportunity to come together as one to impact even more community members.” NewPoint has provided mental health services to the citizens of Gloucester County for over 60 years and serves approximately 5,000 clients each year.

The new entity will provide a range of services including integrated health, addiction and recovery services, prevention services, children and family services, crisis services, and adolescent services.  By adding FamCare as an affiliate organization, the new entity will also be able to offer reproductive health and education services to new and existing clients.

“I am thrilled to have the FamCare name associated with these dynamic organizations,” said Kathie Nixon. FamCare has provided reproductive healthcare for over 50 years. In 2018, FamCare provided services in Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties to over 3,000 clients. “By offering our communities such a wide range of programs and service options, we are setting a new standard for community-based care in southern New Jersey.”

Additional details regarding the new entity are still being finalized and will be released to the public upon completion.  For more information on each organization’s current service offerings, visit the websites below:
