Intensive Supervision
The Intensive Supervision Program (ISP) is a program that assists youth in Cape May County that are facing serious legal charges. This program allows the court involved youth to stay with their family throughout their court proceedings while working with program staff to ensure compliance with court ordered restrictions. A court ordered referral is needed.

Eligibility
To be eligible for Intensive Supervision:
- Youth must live in Cape May County
- Youth must be court ordered into the program through Juvenile Justice proceedings
What to Expect

Reaching Out
Youth facing serious legal charges will be referred to the program directly by the court. After the referral has been made, program staff will either meet with the youth and family in court, or right after the youth has been released from detention.

Arranging Services
ISP staff will meet with the family and youth to complete opening paperwork and review the program. Services will begin immediately after enrollment. ISP services include in- person home visits, phone calls, and supporting youth at court hearings. The ISP staff will work with the youth to make sure they are complying with court orders and restrictions, while the youth remain with their family.

Moving Forward with Care
The duration of the program is dictated by the court order, which is typically between 30 to 60 days.

No, there is no cost for this program.
How and when will I be contacted for an appointment?
A program staff member will connect with the youth and family as early as possible, either at court or shortly after the youth is released from detention or charges are issued.
How long after enrolling can I expect to start services?
Services start immediately upon enrollment.
Are services provided in person, virtual, or both?
Services are primarily provided in person through home visits and attendance at court hearings, with additional support offered through phone contact.
