Acenda’s Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) is an evidence-based, trauma-informed program that gives parents practical tools to build strong relationships and manage children’s behavior with confidence. The program supports families in developing skills that help them stay connected, resilient, and prepared for everyday challenges.

Eligibility
To be eligible for Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) services:
- Must be referred by DCP&P
- Must be a parent or guardian with children ages 0-12
- Children must currently reside in the parents or guardian’s home
- Family must be open and receiving services from DCP&P
What to Expect

Connecting with our Team
To enroll in the Triple P program, a parent or guardian must obtain a referral from DCP&P.

Initial Meeting
Parents or guardians will participate in an enrollment meeting where the program is reviewed. Following the meeting, families will be guided into either group or individual sessions based on their needs.

Moving Forward with Care
Parents or guardians will meet with a Triple P practitioner through individual sessions or group sessions, which may take place in person, during home visits, or within the community. Individual Triple P typically includes 10 weekly sessions lasting about 1–2 hours each, while Group Triple P includes 8 weekly sessions lasting approximately 2–2.5 hours.
Practitioners offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, to meet family needs. Families enrolled in either format also have access to Care Management support, with care managers providing up to 3–4 contacts per month to help connect families with resources and community supports.
