Acenda’s Adolescent Recovery, Intervention, and Substance Evaluation (ARISE) program offers comprehensive substance use assessments for teens. One-on-one evaluations provide a personalized treatment plan with clear recommendations for higher levels of continued care.

- Meet ASAM criteria for level 1.5 outpatient or need early intervention for substance use
What to Expect

Reaching Out
To receive ARISE services, contact Acenda’s Access Center, 833-584-9165, to request an appointment. The Access Center will help you in setting up an appointment within 48 hours of your call.

Initial Meeting
During your intake session, an ARISE staff member will evaluate your wellbeing. From there, you will work with ARISE staff to establish a care plan and set goals for your recovery journey.

Moving Forward with Care
ARISE services last between 6 and 16 weeks, with sessions designed to bring together your family, Acenda staff, and school to support your recovery. Dedicated family sessions are held to keep loved ones engaged and informed as you work towards lasting change.

Does ARISE provide transportation?
ARISE can provide transportation for those within a 30-mile radius of their facilities.
Does ARISE offer after school hours?
Yes. Groups are held after school hours. However, the one-time intake session will be conducted during the day.
Is a urine drug screening required for ARISE?
Yes, you will be required to complete a urine drug screening to participate in ARISE.
How are ARISE services provided?
ARISE offers services in-person and virtually via telehealth.
Does ARISE services cost me anything?
Yes, services are available to individuals with private insurance, Medicaid, and the sliding scale. Contact our Access Center at 833-584-9165 for more information.
How do I qualify for ARISE?

Do I need a referral to participate in ARISE?
No. You can contact Acenda’s Access Center directly to request an appointment. Our team will complete an assessment to determine whether ARISE is the right level of care based on your individual needs and treatment goals.
Will my family be involved in treatment?
Yes. Family involvement is a key part of the ARISE program. Dedicated family sessions help parents, caregivers, and other supportive adults better understand substance use, strengthen communication, and learn ways to support their teen’s recovery throughout treatment.
What if I’m not sure I have a substance use problem?
You don’t have to have a diagnosed substance use disorder to benefit from ARISE. The program also provides early intervention for teens who may be experimenting with substances or showing signs that substance use is beginning to affect their health, relationships, or daily life. An assessment will help determine the most appropriate level of support.
