Family Success Center
Acenda’s Family Success Centers (FSC) are warm, welcoming neighborhood gathering spaces where families and community members come together for support, connection, and growth. FSC’s offer interactive workshops, family-friendly activities, and groups, as well as volunteer opportunities. All services are free and open to all. Additionally, the FSC’s offer free computer use, printing, and copying services.

Eligibility
There are no eligibility requirements for the Family Success Center. Events, workshops and day to day activities are free and open to all. Please visit each FSC page for upcoming events and hours of operation.

No requirements to participate and no appointments needed. We are a free, walk-in program.

How much does it cost to participate in any of the Family Success Center activities ?
There is never a cost for any of the Family Success Center activities. It is also free to use the day to day resources at the Family Success Center.
What are the hours of the Shore Family Success Center?
The Acenda Family Success Center are open daily, Monday-Friday and on Saturdays by appointment only.
What programs or services are provided by the Family Success Centers?
We provide a variety of workshops and classes for individuals and families of all ages. Topics include: parent/child activities, cooking, STEM, backpack drives, diaper giveaways, ESL, health & wellness, job readiness, tutoring, financial literacy, computer literacy, book clubs, and more. They work with their community members to determine what the needs and interests are and have new programming monthly.
Do you have anyone on site that speaks Spanish?
We have bilingual team members at some of our locations. We can connect you to a bilingual team member if we do not have someone on site.
Are programs available virtually?
No. All of our programs are in person.
How do I qualify for the Family Success Center?
There are no eligibility requirements for the Family Success Centers. They are free and open to all. Visitors can walk into any center during operating hours.
Can family members attend activities together?
Yes. Many Family Success Center activities are designed for families to participate in together. We offer family-friendly events, workshops, and activities that encourage learning, connection, and positive family relationships. Some programs may be designed for specific age groups or audiences, but staff can help you find opportunities that fit your family’s needs and interests.
What should I expect during my first visit to a Family Success Center?
When you visit a Family Success Center, you’ll be welcomed by staff who can introduce you to the center, answer questions, and share information about upcoming activities and resources. You’ll receive a monthly calendar of events and learn about available services. There is no formal intake process, and you’re welcome to participate at any time.

Yes. Family Success Center staff can help connect you with community resources and support services that meet your needs. Whether you’re looking for housing assistance, employment resources, parenting support, health services, food assistance, or other programs, staff can provide information, referrals, and guidance to help you access available resources.
