The program will engage families of Salem County when youth become involved with the Juvenile Justice system. The mission is to encourage self-advocacy and successful outcomes by providing support, education and advocacy to the parents, caregivers and families of youth involved in juvenile justice as they go through different systems their child may encounter.

The Justice Impacted Family Engagement Advocate assists families in the juvenile court process and helps them understand and navigate the roles of court officers and court proceedings. The Advocate is not responsible for, nor should they, provide legal advice.

HOW TO ENROLL

The youth will be referred by the Family Court judge or Electronic Monitoring program.
