Gloucester County Prevention Program

Acenda’s Gloucester County Prevention Program (GCPP) is a free short-term program that can assist with back-due rent payments, security deposits and electric bills, while also helping adults establish positive budgeting practices. This program is free for adults with primary custody of at least one child under the age of 18 years old, living in the home and residing in Gloucester County

Eligibility

To be eligible for Gloucester County Prevention Services: 

  • Must be an adult that has primary, physical custody of at least one child over the age of 18. 
  • Must reside in Gloucester County 
  • Families should have a sustainable income after receiving assistance. 

What to Expect 

How It Works

  • Reaching Out

    To see if you are approved for this service, please call 844-422-3632 ext. 9530 and leave a detailed message. 

  • Arranging Services

    A case manager will reach out to you by phone and assess your needs, qualifications, and gather any paperwork needed.  If approved, a check will be sent to help you meet your financial hardship needs. 

  • Moving Forward with Care

    The program will run for a period of 2 weeks to 3 months. You’ll meet virtually with your case manager each week to check in, develop a positive budget, and receive helpful tools and resources.

Is there a waitlist, and if so, how long is it? 

This varies. The max waitlist time if there is one at the time you reach out is 1-3 months. 

How long does it take for me to receive the funding? 

This varies depending on the turnaround time that the case manager receives the required documents. The required documents are determined in a case-by-case situation

What documents are needed to start the program? 

Each situation is unique depending on the need of the family.
