Choices Intensive Outpatient Program

Our Choices Intensive Outpatient Program (Choices IOP) serves mothers in recovery with children ages 17 and under.

Eligibility

To be eligible for Choices IOP, you must: 

  • Have a primary substance use disorder diagnosis  
  • Be uninsured or under-insured 
  • Have children aged 17 and under  
  • Meet ASAM criteria for outpatient and intensive outpatient level of care 

What to Expect 

  • Reaching Out

    To receive Choices IOP services, you can call the Acenda Access Center at 844-422-3632 x9500 or request to make an appointment on our website. You will be contacted by a Choices IOP staff member within 48 hours to arrange your intake session. 

  • Initial Meeting

    During your intake session, you will complete an assessment and evaluation of your presenting needs and well-being. Recovery staff will assist you in formulating a treatment plan and goals to set you up for success. 

  • Moving Forward with Care

    You will meet with your therapist weekly at a time that fits your schedule. On average, clients attend 12-14 sessions over four to six months for treatment. Choices IOP’s trained therapists and counselors will provide specialized, evidence-based care tailored to your individual needs.

Does Choices IOP provide transportation?

Yes, Choices IOP will provide transportation for you. 

Is a urine drug screening required? 

Yes, you will be required to complete a urine drug screening. 

How are services provided? 

Services can be provided in person or virtually via telehealth appointments. 

Does Choices IOP cost me anything? 

No, services are available to individuals with private insurance, Medicaid, and those who are eligible for DMHAS fee for service.
