Our donors and volunteers make the community a better place for our children and families. In our series, Why I Give, we put the spotlight on some of the generous individuals helping to move our communities forward. This month we are recognizing Trinity Presbyterian Church.
What attracted you to the Acenda mission?
Acenda's emphasis on collaboration and togetherness actually strengthens the program and the community being served.
What motivates you to stay involved?
When we've dropped donations off in the past, we've seen how thankful those families receiving them were and how meaningful it can be.
Why do you volunteer/donate?
We know that both our Summer Sharing and Christmas Sharing can make such a difference in families lives by helping make Christmas special and helping in the summer when other resources sometimes are fewer.
What do you hope Acenda will achieve in the near future?
They will continue to seek partnerships that help seek community wholeness by providing a variety of resources that uplift each individual to set them up for a fuller life.
Why is being a donor so important to you?
It is important to continue to strengthen our community and to continue to care for our neighbors.
What would you tell to others interested in getting involved with Acenda?
That no matter how big or small the involvement, every little bit impacts and can make a difference to lives in your community.
