College Based Behavioral Health Services offers convenient, on-campus mental health support for college students. Services help with stress, anxiety, depression, and life challenges in a supportive, familiar setting.

    Providing support to navigate traumatic events and aid in the healing process.

    Supporting you to identify and treat PTSD and other mental health challenges due to stress and trauma.

    Offering support and treatment options for managing substance use and promoting recovery. 

  • Grief & Loss

    Providing support and guidance to help you cope with loss, process emotions, and begin to heal.

Eligibility

To be eligible for College Based Behavioral Health Services, you must: 

  • Be currently enrolled at a participating college
  • Receive a referral from your college (required in most cases)

What to Expect 

  • Reaching Out

    Most of the time, a referral from the participating college is required. However, students can request an appointment through Acenda’s website.

  • Arranging Services 

    Once the referral or appointment has been made, the student will be contacted by a therapist to begin services immediately.   

  • Moving Forward with Care

    After intake, services are delivered based on individual needs and preferences, including in-person or virtual options and individual or group formats.. Students typically meet with their therapist once a week for 45 minutes. Most participants complete care within 12–16 sessions, allowing them to build skills, connect with resources, and make meaningful progress.

Typically, therapy will last 12-16 weeks but varies depending on the needs.  

How long are the therapy sessions? 

Therapy sessions last approximately 45 minutes. 

How often will I meet with my therapist? 

You will meet with your therapist either weekly or bi-weekly.  

Can I be in a group and receive individual therapy at the same time?

Yes, you can receive both group and individual therapy at the same time.
