What is Intensive Outpatient Treatment Support Services (IOTSS), and how can it help?

IOTSS is a structured outpatient behavioral health program that provides intensive therapeutic support while allowing you to continue living at home and participating in your daily routine. Through therapy, psychoeducation, skill-building, and psychiatric care, the program helps individuals manage symptoms, strengthen coping skills, and work toward lasting recovery.

Is IOTSS the right level of care for me?

IOTSS may be appropriate if you need more support than traditional outpatient therapy but do not require inpatient hospitalization. During your intake assessment and psychiatric evaluation, our clinical team will evaluate your needs and determine whether IOTSS is the most appropriate level of care for your recovery.

What can I expect during IOTSS group sessions?

Group sessions provide a supportive environment where participants can learn practical coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, develop healthy communication skills, and gain support from others experiencing similar challenges. Groups are led by licensed clinicians and focus on helping participants build skills they can apply in everyday life.

What happens after I complete the IOTSS program?

As you prepare to complete the program, your treatment team will work with you to develop an individualized aftercare plan. This may include referrals to outpatient therapy, medication management, support groups, community resources, or other Acenda services that help you continue making progress after IOTSS.
