We're collecting new backpacks & school supplies through Friday, August 11
As families prepare for the new school year, your support can help ensure each student has the academic supplies needed to have a fun, fulfilling and successful school year ahead.
For your convenience, Acenda has shopping registries & wish-lists online at Amazon, Target, and Walmart. Donations of gift cards to office supply stores and retail vendors are also welcomed and will be used to purchase much needed school supplies. If you would like to host a backpack collection site or coordinate a donation drop-off at our Glassboro headquarters, please contact Stephanie Taylor (staylor@acendahealth.org).

Do I need to purchase every item on the list?
While we’d appreciate if each shipment contained a backpack full of all items a student needs, we also welcome smaller donations and are grateful for whatever you are comfortable donating.
When do you need backpacks and school supplies by?
To ensure children receive their new backpacks and school supplies in time for the new school year, we are accepting donations through Friday, August 18, 2023.
Will I receive a donation receipt?
To request a donation receipt, please email your contact information and value of your donation to: development@acendahealth.org. If you are using Amazon, Target, or Walmart to send items please include your name and contact information on the gift receipt/message.
I’d prefer not to shop. How can I donate funds directly to Acenda's Backpack Drive?
If you’d like to provide a cash donation in lieu of shopping, please click the "Make a donation" button above or visit our donation page, here, and we will do the shopping on your behalf!
I'd like to host a collection at my church, business, or community. How can I get started?
That's great news! We can provide you with marketing materials, signage, and a collection box. Our staff will coordinate a time to come and pick up any items you’ve gathered before the collection period ends.
