Robins’ Nest Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer

Melissa D. Fox has joined Robins’ Nest Inc. as the organization’s new Chief Operating Officer. Melissa is a dynamic, results-driven professional with a distinguished 20+ year career providing operational leadership and strategic growth and development for diverse community-based programming. This includes a Home Health Assessment program which provided short-term case management services, mental health and substance abuse treatment including prison deferral initiatives, permanent supportive housing, a network of Federally Qualified Health Centers providing integrated care for complex patient populations, and senior care.

As an operations professional, Melissa is committed to forging relationships and sharing expertise with the wider healthcare and social services community. She has served on various boards and as an expert presenter for national organizations such as the Philadelphia Social Innovations Journal, National Healthcare for the Homeless Council, Independence Blue Cross Foundation, National Nurse-led Care Consortium, Philadelphia Housing Authority, and the Health Center and Public Housing Symposium.

Fox is a Rowan University graduate, and was also a Martin Luther King Jr. Scholar. Melissa is a 2014 LEADERSHIP Philadelphia alum, and was recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal’s “People on the Move” in 2011. She has also received a certificate from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health for a course on “Leading in Health Systems”.

Melissa is a long-time resident of South Jersey and is married with three children. She began working for Robins’ Nest in early December, and previously volunteered with the organization’s mentoring program.
